Looks like some location you've got there, i find the second composition more engaging.
i'd second dalite's remarks, by overdarkening the rocks you loose all these beautiful textures and colors, i would try to bring them into play.

#1 is my favorite because with #2 I have to agree that the water is too smooth and the upper rocks are too dark. It looks like you just used a ND grad over the top part of the image since the rocks at the top are so much darker then the rocks at the bottom. Very unnatural looking. As for the water, your shutter speed is so long that the water has lost any feeling of moving, it's just plain white like milk. Of course we can all have our own preference as to the look of the water, myself it's usually at 1/5th of a Sec so that the water still actually shows movement. More of a stringy look as opposed to this milky look.
