Thanks to a helpful tip from a fellow bird watcher, I was able to locate this fledgling Great Horned Owlet. The owl was not having anything to do with me and just wanted to keep on sleeping. Even playing some call back on my iPhone didn't get a response...I resorted to my own hoot...hoot...hoot..and finally got it to open one of its eyes...after that I left the little guy/gal alone...made my day, week and year as I love owls and almost never luck out in finding them...

Thanks Eric...I went back yesterday but he wasn't in the same area. That said the people that work around there told me they are around fairly often...so I will try again next week.
