Gini found this place yesterday in our local city, it used to be a textile factory until it burned a few years ago. But all I could think of was the story of Rapunzel when we were photographing it.

Amazing what is around you and you don't know about it.

Thanks for looking

Walt

Very cool, Walt! Love all the overgrowth - nature is taking back over.

Feeling a tad cramped up top. Do you have a little more room to open it up some?

I'd also give a slight midtone contrast boost and clone out the power lines in the lower left.

Awesome find!!

Very cool find Walt! We have tons of old textile mills down here but none of them look like this one.

+1 @ Jeff's suggestions and I would try to clone out that dark cloud looking thing in the power line area. It almost looks like a bad clone job rather than a cloud.

Very cool indeed.

In the rework I added as much headroom as I've got, cloned out the power line and added a midtone contrast bump.

This was part of a very old mill and it was converted to a fabric warehouse when it burnt. The old ones had character.

I think a branch may have got in the frame closer to me, tried to clone it out

Diggin it!

I'm purely in nit-mode right now because I don't have much else to add.

Finish off the powerline cloning (in the trees) and possibly take a sliver off the right-hand side to give it a slightly more dynamic crop.

My $0.02!

Really nice! Love the textures, detail and subject. Nicely converted.
I think there is a tad more to clean up with the clone job. Looks a bit smudgy lower left. Non-photographers might not notice but I would also get rid of the apparently repeating clouds as an artifact.
A keeper!

HA! I didn't even see the power lines in the trees. Good catch Jeff!

I like your edit Walt. Looks much better.
IDK about the tighter crop suggestion Jeff has though. It feels a tad too cramped over there now in his edit. This is one of those subjective things so...

My thoughts were that it puts the tower slightly off-center and makes it a little more interesting and engaging. Not terribly concerned about the cramped feeling as most of the interest isn't around the area and the open sky to the left alleviates any claustrophobia from the right edge.

Subjective thing.

Late to the party, but this is a great catch and I think everything else has been said.

Thanks for explaining your thought process Jeff.

Thank you Ben I wish I could take credit for it but that goes to the wife for finding it.
