Exactly. The way that gray market works depends on currency value differentials and differing list prices in different regions. These "local" gray market import prices are not set by Canon, whose list prices have not changed. The offering prices from non-gray-market dealers are also still basically unchanged.
(However, currency adjustments may create some incentive for Canon to lower some prices sooner than they might have otherwise. And, by the way, you'll see the gray market pricing come to almost any popular photography product fairly soon after its introduction.)
