Shooting sporting events, I previously used a IV with a MobiCard to instantly upload updates to twitter. Shot to one card, reviewed, then transferred shot to the Mobicard, then to iphonel Upgraded to 1DXand can no longer use the card. What is the best method to transfer an individual shot after review to my iPhone for Twitter release.

I used to use the Eye-Fi card in a MKIV to do the same thing. It looks like Eye-Fi finally addressed the issue.

Haha..thats sorta dumb of them..if you look for eye-fi and it lists the 1Dx as not compatible...no where does it say "Hey..psst..we sell this adapter that you can use"

For a while there were some very specific aftermarket SD to CF adapters that you could get on Ebay or Amazon to accomplish what Eye-Fi is selling. For $20 it sure beats the price and size of the CamRanger.

There were some aftermarket adapters, but saw some comments that they were not a good fit for the slot and presented some difficulty. I'll try the Eye-Fi adapter and see how it does. Thanks

I was going to say an eye-fi + adapter (or similar if card) but I'm not sure the slots in the 1Dx are Type 2 which allow for thicker cards . your unlikely to find a Type 1 adapter as the thickness of the SD alone probably doesn't allow much room for an adapter to be Type 1

Weird, when I look at the bottom of that page, it does list 1DX as compatible.

Yes the 1DX has CF Type II slots.

Ok I hadnt reaslised the 1Dx had type 2 slots .

Yeah, but if you look at eye-fi mobi card...it says its not compatible with 1Dx, maybe they should link to the adapter and say "compatible with SD to CF adapter"

I bought one of the SD to CF adapters for my eyefi card, it did not work on all cameras, particularly my vintage 5D.

I'm glad to here there is a certified adapter.
