I have been waiting for my local camera store to get this lens in for many months, and today it arrived. I tested it out on brick walls and passing traffic outside the store, with my older 1.4 and 1.7TCs, and I was impressed - particularly with the size and weight compared to my previous 300 F4 and more recently Tamron 150-600. I rather reluctantly traded the latter in for the new lens, but I'm glad I did. Here are a few images on the way home (all with Nikon D7100).

These are looking good. Some are showing sharpening halos. You might want to back off now that you have a sharper lens.
