p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · International Tiger Day

With only 4000 or so tigers left in the wild (there are more in captivity and private collections than in the wild...crazy!) we are on the brink of losing one of the most incredible animals on the planet. Unfortunately, there is still an insatiable desire for animal parts including tiger penis...crazy eh?....as such these regal creatures are destined to go the way of many other animals that have met their demise at the hands of man.
I wish I had some new images to share but I only have those from my one trip and so like the networks, it is time for summer reruns.
Enjoy International Tiger Day today and hope it can be celebrated in the future as well.
Eric

Could this be all that's left

I'd rather see this

And certainly this

They are magnificent creatures indeed. I really like the last one Eric, the draw of the face within the environment is soooooo strong. A fitting tribute

Hello Eric:

The last image is a stunner. The first tiger image would be stronger if you could clone some lower legs and feet on him/her I would take him/her just as they are as the only tiger pics I have are yours

Thanks Ted....I guess having a few extra frames per second might have helped get the cat before it stepped off its tracks...or being their an hour earlier They are such special cats...hopefully they will be around for my grandchildren to see in their native habitat.

Why doesn't everyone hunt with a camera!!! (Like the world's most hated dentist!!!!!). Great work. I know that bridge where #2 was taken.....I think. And #3 is such a classic pose.
You should go back and forget the "social" distractions.

Thanks Don...I really don't get trophy hunting in general but we'll set politics aside. I would love to go back..but it's 2 1/2 years later and the constant tooting of the horns in the big Indian cities still rings in my ears.
