That tody in #3 is fantastic! And the trogon, owl, and grass quits are pretty darn nice too.
Thanks for sharing these. Can't wait to go to Cuba soon.
Jim
We never would have found these ones without the help of Carlos. He was absolutely fantastic. We were able to tour a mango farm and meet the farmer where we found the Trogon and the Tody. The people are just as wonderful as their birds. The grassquits were hard to find and are commonly sought after as a captive bird.

Wow, such amazing endemics they have there. The only time I've been to Cuba was for an all-inclusive and sitting on the beach. I think I need to go back and behave myself and shoot some birds. Great shots all around.

Hi Geoff! Thanks for your kind words. We definitely enjoyed our all-inclusive too! The owl was actually found on the resort. It really depends on where you go in Cuba, you have a greater chance of experiencing some good birding.

Don't put the camera down ever again.
Thank you Ted. I love the photography and the peace of being in nature … it's still a challenge to put in the time. I am away for a mini-break this weekend … hoping to find something to shoot.

It is wonderful you took your camera to Cuba. It is a wonderful set, thanks for posting.
Carolyn
Thank you Carolyn. The first time we took our gear we were apprehensive of clearing customs … but we have never had a problem. And wandering off resort is never a problem in Cuba. The people are fantastic!

Oh my. The colors just leap off of the screen in the first four. Beautiful shots, love that pygmy owl too.
You are very kind Herb. Thank you.
