Great image Eric

Many thanks Herb....I love early mornings when out in Africa...the light is magical and if lucky the animals out and about in the wee hours make magnificent subjects

Thank you Tim....I haven't had many mornings like that that combined amazing light and such a great collection of animals....I am really itching to return sooner than later but not sure when exactly I'll manage that.

A captivating image Eric. What was funny was I opened up your thread and saw the image and I was completely satisfied even if there were not another image in your post...............and so it was

Lots of good will be gone, it's a rather disturbing future for sure But images like these and people who care make a pleasant difference my friend. Keep your spirits up

Great shot Eric!
I think I saw the same article you read and share your grief.
When the president of Tanzania allows the President of China to fill his 747 to the gills with poached ivory.... Houston we have a problem!! Corruption at the highest levels for personal gain at the expense of an entire species.
Sick!

Beautiful shot.

What a beautiful image, Eric. The composition is superb, with nice spacing of subjects and the lone tree. You did fine work with a difficult exposure, and the image comes together wonderfully to capture the beautiful scene. Just love it, congrats on the experience and the capture.

Thank you Karl...your comments are so much appreciated. There are times on safari when you can be transported back to the days of Hemmingway, Stanley and Livingstone....those bygone days must have been incredibly exciting.

Thank you Kevin...yes African governments from the top down are rife with corruption....if we are banking on them to keep the animals safe that will be a losing battle.

Many, many thanks Jim! Mornings like that one have been few and far between and I was certainly lucky to find the eles where they were and having a guide that understood my photographic needs was just as important. It moments like that this transport me back in my mind.
