Canon CPS has forbidden their employees from speaking to me because they believe someone leaked the 7DII and high megapixel S body to me.

NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH!!!

RED FOCUS POINTS for everyone.

1D V - 24mp on 1.3 crop - 12fps and expanded iso.

1Ds V - 50+mp on FF - 6fps and expanded iso over 5D-S.

All the usual professional features will be included and they will still try to sell us a GPS tager.

Here we go again

The thread ended up being one of the biggest comic routines in FM history, with rumor sites picking this up and re-sharing it in vaguely worded ways that suggested but didn't actually state that it had legs. It took 41 pages for it to finally die.

We're still waiting to discover which October and which "46MP pro body..."

And that October prediction was for a 1DX successor - not a 5D, if memory serves.

I'll go out on a limb and make my own prediction: the next 1D - whatever it's called - will have terrible dynamic range. I am guessing a 1/3 EV dynamic range rendering nearly every correctly-exposed photo as a literal black and white image. On the plus side it will have the best DXO color metamerism score of any Canon camera in history.

I could be wrong though; I'm not Psychic.

Deja vu all over again....

As the soothsayer just stated 46mps was predicted and it was 50.6mps. Oh, not Oct. 2014 but Feb 2015 and not the Javits Center. Somehow I don't think a CPS counter-person knows anything and likely doesn't have any interest.

Sounds like the Predictor's batting average is 0 for 3.

Must be a slow traffic day for the Predictor.

Anyway, get ready for 25+ pages of mostly useless banter.....should be fun.
