Each year beginning in late June, the lotus begin to bloom at Kenilworth Gardens in DC. There's a festival in mid-July and the blooms are usually out until early August before they all die off. There are also many ponds of water lillies, but the lotus flowers are the real attraction. Below are a few pics from last week. C&C welcome and appreciated as always. Thank you

The colors are beautiful in the first two. When you're framing these blooms you to be be careful with what's going on at the frame edges. In the first, you're cutting off just the tip of one petal on the right frame edge. A couple of degrees of shift to the right would have captured that petal completely without any negative impact on the left frame edge. It's OK to cut something in half, but not to cut a tiny bit.

Sounds like you'll have ample opportunity to capture more, hope we get to see them.
