One of the methods of spotting predations is to look for the flocks of birds - they are insanely quick at hitting an attack spot for scraps.

Having witnessed this myself it is quite interesting to see the gulls clean up the remains after the Great Whites do their thing. Very nicely seen and photographed.

Hi Jeff, went quite a few years ago in August with Monique and Chris Fallows of "Air Jaws" fame....we saw about 18 live predations and a few breaches....but lots of gulls carrying inside body body parts like lungs and such. Definitely an adrenaline rush!

Too true - the fin has almost no physical mass in the scene, but the weight it carries is quite tremendous.
