p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Great egret no eye

Traditionally in wildlife photography the subject's eye is emphasized in the composition by placement and focus. In this set of great egret photos I avoid this and use other compositional elements to produce what I hope you find and enjoyable compositions.

Sorry Morris, I applaud your courage to try a radically new approach but it just doesn't work for me.

Comp comes closest to working in #3. In the others, the lines don't suggest an end. I applaud you for giving it a try. It's nice to see something different -

Morris, these are different and creative . For me, a couple would work if there was a tighter crop removing most or all the background where you only see the feathers.

3 comes closest to working for me Morris, but I think I'd try a portrait crop ~ Ron

I understand the concept, but none of these work for me.

Don't let PetKal see any of these or you will be in big trouble.

Thank you Norm,
I'll have to go in tight as Roberta suggests below and create abstracts

Thank you roberta,
That is a traditional way of creating abstracts and I'll see what I can do.

Morris, Hell NO !!! don't delete it. You are not in any trouble (that is unless you experiment with nude chicks)
