I would add that if whoever replaced the print head did not replace the damper and the wiper mechanisms at the same time, could have contributed to a premature failure, but more importantly, you should never ever do multiple back to back cleanings without running a test image that contains all colors - to force ink through the heads, which often fixes uncloggable clogs. There's no way a new print head should fail after just a year. You will need to replace the wiper assembly after a year or so, but that's a five minute, fifteen dollar do it yourself job.

The other thing is that Epson knows exactly what they're selling you and just how prone to clogging this print head generation is, and from what I was told by a former employee at a party recently, they're going to milk this current head tech as long as they can still sell them. The tech support people are either lying or stupid or both. That much he does have right.
