I've been experimenting with DxO for post work and I've been happy with the "preset" corrections. Aside from the lens corrections, I use the White Balance control and sometimes bump the saturation or the contrast a bit in certain situations. However, I've notice at times (with event images of people) that DxO's post corrected image has blown out the highlights to the point where I prefer the uncorrected image. I've tried to isolate the cause (by deselecting each correction one by one) and I thought it had to do with the exposure adjustment. However, it doesn't seem to be the case. Any ideas? I've done some searches but haven't seen anything that addresses this.

Try DX010

They have greatly improved since ver 8.

I second Gary's suggestion. Ver 10 is dramatically better than 8 was.
