p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Lightroom: "The File Could Not Be Found"?

I was in LR5 and working away on images and stepped away from my 24" Mac for about 30 minutes and the Mac went to sleep. When I returned, I could not open the group of images I was working on. The images are NOT GRAYED-OUT in the Library Module. I hope someone can help.

can you confirm that the drive the images are on is present in finder ?
do the images and or folders have any question marks ? as this indicates that LR has lost the location of the images .

Yes, the images in question have questions marks on them.

the question marks mean that LR has lost the connection to them .

it could be that the drive they are on is no longer mounted . check finder an if its not there remount the drive .

it could also be due to the images or folders being deleted/moved outside of LR . in general DO EVERYTHING that involves moving of images or folders inside of LR . if you don't then point LR to the new location as soon as you've done the change .

in your case It sounds like if the mac went to sleep and you did nothing else then the drive the images are on went to sleep and didn't wake up again .
