D700 is a Canadian model, not a US model with US Warranty card right? Number of shutter clicks on the body?

Hi. Thanks for the question. I don't seem to have the warranty card that denotes either Canadian or American. It would likely be useless as it will have expired any ways. Please let me know what other identifying information you might require if you are interested.

Look inside of CF card slot. IIRC, US models have a small "Nikon USA" stick there.

Why would this matter on a camera more than a year old and out of warranty anyway?

It matters because Nikon USA will refuse to service any camera they consider gray market, should servicing ever be needed. That said, the price is right in this instance, and the D700 is still a fabulous camera.

But if you read these forums many people use other Service centers than Nikon's anyway.

Great price for a great camera.

I am holding onto this stuff for the next little bit. I am away for two weeks out of country and trying to facilitate that while getting a camera sent away and ensuring its safe delivery is a little hectic. Those that have pm'd me I will let you know when I am back. Sorry. Tried to do too much at one time.
