Down by Captiva Island, Florida last month for a couple of days. It is really dark there when looking SW. Nikon D750, Nikkor 18-35mm G, 13-seconds, ISO 8000. Shot this at around 5:00am.

Thanks for looking,

Jose

Hey Jose,

That's a pretty cool looking Milky Way shot. ISO 8000 sure seems very long though. I would have used a longer shutter speed myself, if there is a tiny bit of star movement it won't hurt the shot, typically no one will even see that slight movement unless they are zooming in to 100%. I would prefer a lower ISO and a longer shutter speed to cut down on the noise. But with that said, at a web viewing the photo looks fine.

Nice.

I'd echo Jim.

The sky is a bit too purple for me, but otherwise you have some great milky way details.

Very nice Jose. Did you do a bit of light painting?
