Excellent shots. Several years ago, I travelled through both separate Moosehorn refuges and I never even seen a squirrel, let alone a bird. TFS I love the grouse.

Great low angle composition and DOF in 1 and I also really like the close up beaver portrait, looks like it's keeping an eye on you.

The critters were few and far between, but we expected that. Lots of breeding warblers and other songbirds, but mostly in the treetops so not very interesting for non-birders. But they're working hard to thin out the mature forest with prescribed burns and clearcuts. The resulting meadows and young forest create more varied habitat, which should eventually pay off.
