Looking for a decent best bang for you bang 300mm lens to use on my Fuji X-T1. I was looking at the both the FD 300mm F4 and F4 S.S.C. but can't seem to find any good info. Almost all the info is for the F4 L. Anyone have one or used one and what are your opinions.

I have a 300mm f/4 FDn and like it a lot. It has good contrast, and minimal distortion and CA. Here are a few sample shots:

Also have the 300/4 FDn lens - harder to find now, but I got it many years ago for a good deal before mirrorless was even available. Now it really shines on my A7R.

Photo with A7R, Fotasy FD-NEX adapter, 300/4 FDn lens. I used the camera crop mode here to get to a 480 mm field of view since I took this shot from a far distance.

BTW, the photo was taken in Germany
