I'm seeing more photos with this type of look, the same wood flooring and background.

It's probably not vynil. It could be vinyl.

Did you ask Fitzsimmons if it was OK to post their photo?

You can buy printed paper backdrops like this.

It could also be Naugahyde.

There are many backdrops that can be matched up with backdrop "flooring"---which you can simply roll up and put away.

I'm trying to decide if I want to build my own or buy vinyl. I'm going to go with the real thing.

Not possible. The Nauga went extinct in 1967.

We still have a couple of the original Naugas. One was orange, but neither looked anything like that wood grain.

I had to google naugahyde. Must have been mainly a US thing, I'm guessing.

The backdrop looks odd because it is missing the floor base trim.

That bugs you more than the baby squashed into a basket with a faux pumpkin on its head?

All I know is the US Military must have had a grip load of Naugas at Area 51 because they're certainly not extinct - they're skinning 'em daily to benefit the delicate posteriors of our soldiers and sailors.
