These are great, especially the ones of the chick. I love the low angle and the waves in the background. I think the first two would benefit from a little wider framing.
Thank you OregonSun,
I agree, I did not have time or the whole bird would be there

Such rich images Morris and wonderful feeling to all. So, now explain the framing because nothing you do is unintentional and I have always been chastised for cutting off body part including the butt!
Eric
Thank you Eric,
Dad had gone down to the water to fish and I was watching the chick when it started to walk to the water and I locked up my tripod head and followed. When dad appeared over the crest I sat as fast as i could and set the camera down in front of me. As I looked through the finder I saw the first image and tripped the shutter as I did not want to miss this moment fiddling. Then I had a moment to level and release the head for the nicer images of the chick.
I followed a basic rule, get the photo, then get it correct.

I agree, a nice series but I do not like your crops on 1 and 2.
Ted
Thank you Ted,
As you can see in my answer to Eric, this was a case of rushing or missing the opportunity. Looking at them now I'm wondering if a tighter crop might look better.
