Well, my card just got charged. I'll contact their CS to see if they're going to honor the deal. If not, why would they charge my card? Or maybe this is a hack.

There is no way Sony is going to honor this. I'm sure somewhere in the small text of the terms and conditions is a provision that covers it...but still worth a try I suppose.

That could be a good bait-and-switch sales tactic. "Oh, it's a mistake. Sorry we can't honor that price but if you want a 5% discount off..."

For fun I went back to check the original link and an error message appears when you try checking out the a7R in the cart. Looks like they've caught on.

Why it is taking them too long to correct the mistake comparing with Amazon ? Or this is an intentional action, a way for them to say thanks ). I hope this is my early X-mas gift .

Don't know about the link but I went to the official sony store home page first just to make sure I wasn't transferred to some fake site.
It's still at the price, I might just try ordering.

Well, Sony IT dept has put inplace some load tests to see if their site could process thousands of orders per second or not. With what you got, i think it was failed .
