I found these on the underside of a log. The individual bodies are about 1mm across.

The first image is cross-eye, the second conventional. I have cropped off the bottom of each frame, leaving enough OOF foreground to help in the 3D effect.

I don't know what the crystal-like black objects are.

EM-1, reversed Schneider FM 40mm, Kiron x 1.5 TC, twin TTL RC Flash, hand-held.

I think I shot these two frames as a stereo pair. I know I considered it. Anyway the base separation and the centring were just right.

I find that this subject benefits significantly from stereo treatment in showing the fine lattice structure of the protruding material.

I have a lot of single frames of what looks like two distinct species. The other species is deep pinkish. Editing and processing will take a while.
