Glad you had fun. Sounds like you're hooked. Now for improving yourself...
You've suffered from some typical first-timer mistakes. The first obvious one is you should give your self more space in your shots. The majority of the images are shot closer than optimum. What do I mean by that? Take some of them and crop for 4x5 and 8x10. You'll see. Always give yourself more cropping room. Usually, after a couple of more weddings, you'll have this fixed. Many of us did this at first.
Next, I'd say to get intimate with the straightening tool. I'm not sure if you're using Lightroom yet, but don't be afraid to use the tools you are supplied with. Experiment, and use them to your advantage.
Watch your comps. 37 is an example. It's out of balance. What could you have done to improve it?
Lastly, I'd say you need to revisit monitor calibration. All your "cool" images are really green, and all your "warm" images are really yellow. If I were you, I'd recalibrate, check your surrounding environmental lighting, and adjust all these before you deliver them.
Hope these give you some ideas for improvement. Welcome to the club....Show more →
I've fought myself for years remembering to shoot big for cropping, but it never sinks in. Maybe someday it will.
