I shot this on Kodak T-Max 100 4x5 with a red 25 filter the week before moving from Kansas out to California.

Wow, love this shot. The detail in the 4x5 is incredible. Also like how the red filter brought out the clouds in the sky.
I live in Overland Park KS and shoot 4x5. I'd love to know where you shot this.

Really good b&w, just love that foreground, very crisp image. Nicely done.

Nice work. I used to have that lens, you've done well with it.

Thanks! I wish we could have met up when I still lived in Lawrence. This was about 20 miles west of Emporia somewhere on a dirt road. If you can find road access to some of the bridges that cross the toll road, you'll have endless opportunities out there. My favorite part of the Flint Hills.

JohnBrew, I was recently in Kansas to attend a high school reunion. While I was there, I spent time at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve near Strong City. It's a great place for hikes and photography in the Flint Hills and features a beautiful home and building from the 1880's. You can access the Preserve 24 hours a day. Gregg

The Tallgrass is really great. The buffalo herd they have there can be really great to photograph as well. I've also found that the Konza Prairie up by Manhattan has great potential as well.

Nice one Michael! Good to see some of your Kansas LF work before you headed out west.

Thanks, Alan! Looking back on them makes me miss being out there, but I guess I can't complain too much...
