All have been focus stacked using zerene.

The master of the bees , i ve never been able to get a decent shot at hi mag of a bee..they never stop!!

Luckily in the UK with the weather, they do stop every now and then especially if a cloud goes in front of the sun.

Was enjoying this set over at PotN -well done

Weather has been a problem here for shooting bees -we went from winter to summer in about three days. Normally I do a lot of solitary bee shooting in January and February, but the past two years it has either been completely overcast or raining. By the time the weather was partly cloudy, optimum for shooting bees if it's cool, it was hot enough for them to keep moving even in the shade.

Lovely detail. Here, as in your other recent posts, the really close shots show striations on just the hairs on the front of the face. Are they fringed?

Thanks Harold - yes the hairs on the face are fringed - you can see it slightly better on the crop below.
