I'm curious what kind of rig would allow you to climb without bagging my camera. I use a Blackrapid currently but need something to keep is tighter to my body/back/side.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
Joel

Stick it in a clean chalk bag that has a draw string closure.

too many variables here:
type of camera/lens?
type of climbing?
type of intended shooting?
....

at this point, with available info provided, I would say GoPro mounted in your helmet....

Thanks y'all

I was a bit vague.

I climb these types of ladders, etc. I usually have either my 70-200L or 16-35L.

I'm going to try a bag like a chalk bag. I looked at those but they were too narrow and shallow for my big rig. Grainger has (everything) a canvas tool bag that might help protect my rig and keep it closer to my body.

Ladder.

Think Tank. A belt with a digital holster and some selected modulars and you are good to go.

Peace,

Todd

I sling mine so it's across my chest. Then pop one of these through a small beaner and hook to my harness using a back loop. No padding but it's behind me and doesn't inhibit my climbing unless some series stemming or in a chimney.

You could look at a LowePro Toploader Pro with a body harness,
