I don't know which one to start out with.
The Rovelight 600 has a definite HSS advantage.
However, the Cheetah Light 360 has the external battery.
I like both of these features, sigh...

Does anyone have both of the items?
Any thoughts?

I guess I am thinking out loud here...

I have the Streaklight 360 (same as the CL360 but from Adorama) and I am looking at the Rovelight.
I love my 360 because of the power and light weight. I don't care for the cords but that is the price to pay.

The Rovelight is 600Ws not 400 and thus is only one stop more powerful but it is 5.5 lbs.
Pros :integrated battery,
Integrated receiver,
powerful
good HSS
LOW PRICE
Cons: heavy
It is not much more money and set up is nearly instantaneous.

The other to look at is the Godox Xenergizer that Cheetah will be selling shortly.
600Ws with external battery thus giving you a very light weight head for booms.
Also integrates nicely with the Godox remote triggers such as the Streaklight, and V850/V860 strobes.

How much power do you need?
If HSS is important to you the RL600 is the no brainer.
I just don't need that much power for so much of my work but I do appreciate the quick setup and break down.

One other consideration is that the 360 is designed as a hot shoe mount flash. The base can be switched out for a threaded base that can accept a male adapter for mounting on an umbrella swivel but the RL 600 is designed with a proper studio light stand mount that is far more robust.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I'm not certain what level of power I need.
Though, I have been wanting to try the HSS thing in daylight.
So, it looks like I will get the Rovelight 600, as the HSS function is a lot better, according to all the reading I have done.

The Rovelight 600 seems real nice and handy at locations... but don't you lose power when using HSS?

I have both, I like the Rovelight for the convenience and portability. I love not having to lug around cords and external pack!! The RL has actually been onside for the past couple of weeks!!
