I am looking to upgrade my monitor and would like to stay within the $500 range. I like the NECs but I believe that they are a bit out of my price range. I need a monitor that I can calibrate and have realistic color before I print.

Anyone have any suggestions e.g. Dell, lower range NEC.

Thanks in advance.

I read many review about Dell U2413. I think it's in your price range.

The P2715Q is a 4k monitor.

A few questions for the Op; Do you have a monitor calibration device? Are you making prints for yourself?

Two other Dell monitors you could look at; http://dell.to/1QT0H7H and http://dell.to/1Ibq6Ig

I have a viewsonic vp2772. Calibrated with an xrite and just got a blurb book done. I was quite pleasantly surprised at how close the book was to what I compared on the screen. A bit above what you want to spend but better than the dell from what I can tell. Adobe colour space available, and high res.

I'm wondering if one can get a big 4k TV, calibrate it and use it for photography work?
