p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · a nice surprise

so I went to the great swamp in hopes that the foxes might make an appearance although i knew i was probably still a few weeks too early. walking the boardwalks i hoped to see some of the warblers that are starting to filter through and i was pleasantly surprised when this yellow-rumped warbler landed very close.

Beautiful shots Eric ! I love 2 and 4. Your commentary reminds me of the following quote by John Muir
"In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks "

Those are very nice Eric. I got a few images of this species yesterday but they pale in comparison to these. Therefore I will be motivated to get out there and improve before I post said species

Somehow I suspect your shots would be more than representative Geoff...these are probably the best warbler shots I've been lucky enough to get to date. I'm not totally sold on my 7D2 but at least for a couple of shots it performed as advertised.

Thanks Fred...it was one of those rare times, for me at any rate, that proximity and background seemed to fall into my lap.

Yes Sir!, If they show up I will...getting a little nervous that no one has seen any sight of the vixen...no real good signs she set up a den site either.

Thanks Ron....the secret is getting close....by why everyone kept this secret from me I'll never know. It is funny when they fly and land about 6' away instead of you having to try to inch closer and closer before they take off.
