What I'd like is a 16MP FF Rebel which is great in low light with 7fps, A7 style DR, and focus peaking for manual lenses.

Not ready for the 2x crop factor of M4/3 being invested in EF and Nikkor AI/AI-S glass.

Don't see how that relates to my post at all.

Not ready for M4/3rds.. if ever. But the X-T1 does look like a nice camera - APS-C X-T1 or A6000? I am going to wait and see what the coming year brings by way of updates and price drops.

The Ricoh is a nice camera for what you say you are looking for.
Take a good look at the newer Panasonic LX100. Have had the LX5 and LX7 and for small pocketable(shirt or jacket) tool they are nice. Decent images, RAW capable, fast f/1.4 lens(LX7) at 24mm and still f/2.3 at 90mm(Leica zoom) that works well.
It is not so small that it is difficult to use and if you get the 'tulip' type lens cap that opens when you turn the camera on you don't even have to worry about losing the cap in the field.

A lot of stuff out there. I tried the small Sony cameras and they are great, but so small they were difficult to use so I kept the Panasonic.

Panasonic LX5, 30 seconds, f/2.5, ISO 200

Got most of the herd together for a group photo tonight, I guess I will need a riser and two rows soon. 1D for life!

Here's my team. Canon fodder up front.

I've added an S110 and SL1 since this was taken in March 2014. I'll be adding one more FF camera, later this year.

Ok, a bit more 1D snobbery. Can't let you guys have all the fun. My small, carry around camera is in front.

They're both nice cameras. I prefer the lens selection of Fuji X series though over the Sony APS-C lenses though you do also have option of using Sony's FE full frame lenses on the A6000. Waiting and seeing is a good choice since a Sony A6000 replacement should be out in the coming months and X-Pro 2 that should be announced before the end of year should bring down the price for Fuji X-T1 camera.

The SL1 with the 24 STM is currently my small near-mirrorless camera. And as a bonus, it has an optical viewfinder.

How many cold dead hands will you have?

Wellt his thread really made me think about my dear old 1D3 and whether it was time to part.

I asked around and received a reasonable trade-in offer per its condition, so it will soon be heading-off to pastures new.

I thought it was perhaps a good time to part, just before the 1DX2 arrives and shunts the older models down another rung in terms of used prices.

I don't think the remaining 1D4 will ever forgive me. He looks so lonely
