p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Why did the photog cross the road?

To give the gator the right of way of course.
I was just trying to get some fairly close shots of this guy swimming along when he decided he wanted to move to a different pond. Uh Oh!
1. Trying to get the eye right.

2. Oops, I think he noticed me.
http://www.farslowfotos.com/fred/2015/gator2.jpg
3. Oh yeah, here he comes.
http://www.farslowfotos.com/fred/2015/gator3.jpg
4. A friendly warning...
http://www.farslowfotos.com/fred/2015/gator4.jpg
5. "You want a nice profile?"
http://www.farslowfotos.com/fred/2015/gator5.jpg
6. "I've got to be on my way".
http://www.farslowfotos.com/fred/2015/gator6.jpg
7. He could move pretty quick when he wanted to.
http://www.farslowfotos.com/fred/2015/gator7.jpg
8. Last shot before he slipped into the tall grass, I wasn't following him in.

Thanks for looking.

Just say you had the 800 on an APS-C camera with double-stacked 2X converters. You just don't want to be anywhere near these guys. They can outrun people, and after outrunning them, it gets ugly...

Great shots. Lively colors -

Yike!!! Excuse me if I seem unusually impressed but I have never seen such a large reptile, (as we don't have such where I come from). But your risk/reward tables turned out well this time I must say

Many nice shots, especially the "profile".

Thanks, he wasn't so big, only 4 - 5 ft long and I was at least 20 ft away from him.
