I have been playing with the new LR6 tools and rescued an older picture to try the new HDR feature. The results are impressive and natural looking while increasing dynamic range quite a bit.
Taken with A7R and TS-E 17mm f/4L. The lens was tilted for expanded DOF and shifted for better framing and distortion control.
For those shooting with the A7R and Canon lenses, there is a new free tool called LensChanger which corrects the names for Canon lenses in Lightroom and shooting with the A7 series cameras.
(See the metadata below the image is showing the correct lens name now)

Fred, you are a Death Valley Master, and this one is no exception. Great control of some difficult tonalities here to retain the realism of the image. I looked for those circles for two days and never found them.

Gorgeous image Fred. Love the details in the foreground. I have to ask is the ground really purple? The sunset and sky wouldn't give off a purple light so I am curious.

I wrote my feedback to Fred's wonderful image from the Death Valley right after I saw the photo.
But my feedback is not seen here. What happened?

Love it Fred! The detail in the tiles is amazing. Do you find Lightroom 6 to be faster?

Very nice Fred and I am glad to see an HDR here. I just got the new LR and played with HDR myself, works pretty good.

Very cool image. The perspective is fantastic. The colors work well together too.

LR6 and Death Valley are both on my "to-do" list ...

I was looking for bracketed images to test the new HDR function and found a couple ones I somehow overlooked. For this one, I ended up using only one frame anyways as the light was very subtle. Next time you are heading to DV, let me know and we can meet up on this location.
Best,
Fred

Thanks Jeffrey. You know how it is...right place at right time. Sometimes we get lucky with that!

Thanks Scott,
There no much purple on my monitor, I get more of an orange hue.

My apologies Kee. I had posted the wrong image at first (without my LR corrections). I didn't know you had replied to it.

LensChanger is absolutely great for keeping our EXIF lens data consistent. Great tool or A7R users shooting with Canon glass.

Thanks. I found it faster with my system but only on the Develop mode. (Mac Pro Late 2013)
Import images and Library/Catalog looks about the same.

Thanks Ben. I have been playing with numerous photos and the new LR6 HDR. I really like it because it pretty much extends the dynamic range without adding that "HDR look" to the image. This one in particular didn't benefit from the bracketing I did and therefore I just edited one file. (The A7R has incredible DR)

It's a great place for bracketing shots as long as the wind cooperates.
