I picked my favorites from today. The first one is from an old parking lot next to a new one and the other's are from a granite outcrop in the middle of a field I have access to.

These are excellent. I especially like #2 with the moss on the rock. Such a nice angle. If it's okay to ask questions, I'm wondering just how far you were away from the Kildeer? You must have been within 20 ft.using 300mm ?

These guys can be very tolerant of people, especially when they hang around parking lots, parks and such where people come and go all the time. The best shot I ever got of one of these was in a grass parking area next to a community ball field. Very nice detailed image. Gotta love those eyes.

I was so close I could not focus...I actually had to back up....probably to 15 feet?

Cool, thanks, the last killdeer I tried to shoot was at least a little skittish, but individuals probably differ.
