Beautiful set. Numbers 6, 7, and 8 are my favorites, but they are all excellent. Well done!

Thanx Brian.

Great stuff Ron.
Did you shoot only with the 500?
Love the first.
And those chicks! Are they from Gatorland? I recall shooting on/off for 40 min or so to get the light and pose right on a group like that.
Scott
Thanx Scott. Most of the time was with the 500, but occasionally with a 70-200 and a 1.4 tc from time to time. Yes - the chicks were at Gatorland.

I really enjoyed that sunset. Glorious colors. And a hundred shots to get those eyes in focus? Sheesh, Ron, you're beginning to sound like me.
Looks like three days of having a ball. Each shot is special in its own way. You should print all of them and put them in a little book to remember this trip by.
Thanx David. I did wind up taking a lot of shots, (and time), of the chicks. It was extremely difficult getting all the eyes in the plain of focus. . I am planning on printing at least one of the shots - my wife keeps asking me to print some.

Ron, Excellent set, I prefer these wild shots over pay to shoot "setup" shots any day.
-Tim
Thanx Tim. Thanx Tim. I generally agree, but it sure was a lot of fun sitting around with a bunch of friends and having the subjects come to you. Kind of like the pond, but warmer...

A great looking set Ron. My picks are 7 & 8. It's not easy to get a good head angle with 3 chicks and to get each head/eye in focus is near impossible.
Mike
Thanx Mike. It's not hard to get the chick shot, but it does require a lot of time and memory cards.
