I'm a sucker for sunsets with birds, close-ups and reflections. So it's 1,4 and 8.

Wow! You really nailed these, Ron. Great stuff. We will have to talk about your trip. I cut mine short by several days. Got a bug that I just couldn't shake off, so decided to head home. I'll give it another try next March.

Thanx Eric. My wife has not seen the sunset. I think I'm going to surprise her with a large print.

Looks like a pretty fruitful trip to me. I've come back from a trip with far less than this far too many times. I can hardly pick a favorite. Each one is special in its own right. Some very fine work there, Ron. Kudos.

Don't they have any little birdies in FL? Those big burds don't always fit in your frame

#7 was worth the effort, I like the feeling and light in this shot, wow you really didn't have much light by your exif, well done
#8 is a dandy
#9 rocks some color and pattern, i really like this one Ron and the comp.

Karl

Thanx Karl. I always look forward to your comments - well mostly...

Great stuff Ron.
Did you shoot only with the 500?
Love the first.
And those chicks! Are they from Gatorland? I recall shooting on/off for 40 min or so to get the light and pose right on a group like that.

I really enjoyed that sunset. Glorious colors. And a hundred shots to get those eyes in focus? Sheesh, Ron, you're beginning to sound like me.

Looks like three days of having a ball. Each shot is special in its own way. You should print all of them and put them in a little book to remember this trip by.

Ron, Excellent set, I prefer these wild shots over pay to shoot "setup" shots any day.

A great looking set Ron. My picks are 7 & 8. It's not easy to get a good head angle with 3 chicks and to get each head/eye in focus is near impossible.

Thanx Scott. Most of the time was with the 500, but occasionally with a 70-200 and a 1.4 tc from time to time. Yes - the chicks were at Gatorland.

Thanx David. I did wind up taking a lot of shots, (and time), of the chicks. It was extremely difficult getting all the eyes in the plain of focus. . I am planning on printing at least one of the shots - my wife keeps asking me to print some.

Thanx Tim. Thanx Tim. I generally agree, but it sure was a lot of fun sitting around with a bunch of friends and having the subjects come to you. Kind of like the pond, but warmer...

Thanx Mike. It's not hard to get the chick shot, but it does require a lot of time and memory cards.
