I have a new without box USA model Nikon 24-120 f4 VR due to getting the Sigma ART. I don't have the box or manual but do have the warranty paperwork. This lens has never been mounted to a camera.

I recently called Nikon concerning the warranty on a different 24-120mm f4 lens. Nikon told me that they only honor warranties on items that are purchased from an "authorized" Nikon dealer.

That always has been and will be their policy but they aren't always firm on it as long as it's a USA model especially with paperwork. It's unlikely you'd ever need to worry about it anyway.

I purchased this from another forum member and they did not provide a receipt. I know more then one person who sent in a lens in the past and was never asked for a receipt.
