Thinking forward to this years race in Madison IN. Has anyone shot the race recently? I am unsure about a number of variables.
Where is the best area to set up? Indiana side or Kentucky side? Landmarks to be close to for best angles?
I imagine I will be shooting with a gimbal mounted 7DII and a 500 4.5, possibly with a 1.4II. Does this sound about right?
I live a little over an hour north, in Columbus IN, so I plan to make a scouting trip down one Sunday afternoon to dry run my gear set-up. But I know the place is crazy full of people on actual race day, so I will plan appropriately for lugging my gear around that day.
Any tips or suggestions from those that have actually photographed there recently will be greatly appreciated.
