The Streaked Wall is a dominating rock face in Zion National Park as you are approaching the canyon from the west or driving the switchbacks to the tunnel entrance. On this particular morning in early April, overnight storms provided snowfall in the eastern section and wonderful morning lighting in the western part. Clouds and sky were in quick motion and a glance out my side window demanded an immediate stop. There were only a couple of minutes of breathtaking excitement before the light beams moved to the base of the cliff. I fortunately had my gear ready to go and created this image at a turnout on the way to the tunnel. As my friend Don told me, 'Chance favors the prepared'. How true. A cropped frame from the Canon 11-24 and 1DsIII. (This is an improved version of an image already posted on the Canon Forum).
