These are a few from a recent trip to the southeastern USA. Most images are from swampy areas. The first three feature shades of purple.
The Wild Pig (or Hog) family includes the mother and 9 piglets. They are a scourge throughout the south with their voracious appetites and ability to reproduce as the last two images indicate. When I repositioned for a better angle when they were sleeping, mother's eye popped opened and followed my movements closely.
