Hi

Been thinking of a one camera/lens solution, loved my Zuiko 40mm on my 5D. Looking for the best compromise on the camera between the 7/7r/7s also which would the best adapter be for the Voigt 40mm 1.4.

Thanks

What are you looking for in the camera?
A7R has huuuge files with lots of detail.
A7S has nice handy small 12mp files with crazy low-light capability, and great video.
A7(II) is in between, with files that honestly disappointed me at higher ISOs but it is mostly good. A7(II) is a better platform if you plan on using native Sony AF lenses.

Hi

I am not bothered about video or massive files as such. I will be using it as a walkaround setup.I like to shoot more urban stuff like doors window or street scenes. I may eventually look at a 21 and 70-80mm lens. Can the adapters make a big difference. This is the real problem for me, i would like to have other lens that use one adapter in the future. I realise a Fuji x100? would be the next best camera for me.

Could do an Oly adapter with the 40/2, 21/3.5 and an Oly in the 85-100 range.

I'd get one of the helicoid adapters for the Voigtlander 40 to reduce the MFD. I use the Hawks v3 with the Nokton 40 on A7s and A7ii.

The Zuiko 40/2.0 MFD is already 0.3m as it is. Then it is a matter of liking the OM or the CV lenses. I suspect the Zuiko is the better close-up lens though, and that without expensive helicoid adapters.
