I bought a matthews baby junior stand with a baby boom(my first boom). From my research, it seems that it is better to use a baby drop down pin as it is putting less torque on the boom.
I read that the baby drop pin is meant to be lose so that the light always stay under the boom which ever angle you put it.
My problem is, If move the pivot on my einstein light to point directly down, the baby drop down pin will try to compensate moving my einstein!
-Question number 1: So why is using a baby drop down so much better if it interfere and it is not letting me angle my light as I please. Maybe I am using it wrong, but if I tighten it down it won't work as it suppose to from what I read.
I would like any help from expert boom users here.
I just want to know how to properly use it beacause I will order the matthews junior matth boom and I am wondering if I should order a baby pin for this boom too.
2- Question number 2: What kind of safety cables are you guys using and what length?? My maximum weight will be around 13 lbs(light+modifiers)
