I went out for an evening walk yesterday and of course that meant going to the eagle nest. To my great surprise, there are now 2 eggs in the nest. On Wednesday I left at about 2pm and no eggs. So they must have been laid very close together. Usually they are 2-3 days apart but these were likely only 1-2 days apart. I'll be closely watching over the next few days if we get a 3rd egg like the last 2 years. 35 days now for incubation. But now at least I know a fairly narrow time frame for the laying times. This is at least 1-2 weeks earlier than previous years.
Here are a couple images from last night.
1) Dad stretching his wing nearby
2) Dad doing some sort of yoga
3) Mom left the nest, called out and dad swooped in
4) Dad approaching the precious cargo
5) Mom taking a break from incubating
