I am curious how it will perform. Gut instinct tells that it will be no different than the E-M5 MK-I as it is the same sensor.

It should be same as EM5 I... There is no pdaf points on the sensor to have fast af with dslr lenses like EM1... I have used BIGMA/Oly 50-200mm lenses with EM5, gx7 and EM1. Only EM1 has fast af.

I will say much better, as the E-P5 was better than the E-M5 in that respect. While not as fast as the E-M1, the E-P5 speed is decent for the lenses I tried as the exception of the 50mm f/2 which still hunt a lot.

The Zuiko 150/2 works much better with the E-M5 mkII than it did with the Panasonic GX7 (camera now sold). The E-M1 with PDAF on the sensor is still the best camera for 43 lenses with the MMF-3, but the E-M5 mkII is a positive surprise.

A little OT, but how to you like that 150/2? I am thinking of picking one up.

The 150/2 is excellent. It's a very sharp lens, and f/2 means you can blur the background and shoot in low light. The IBIS in the Olympus cameras work well with this lens. It can also be used with the 1.4x and 2x converters from the old 43 system. The 150/2 weighs about 1.5kg or 3 lbs.

I have not compared it to the new 40-150/2.8 zoom, since I don't have the zoom, but the zoom may focus faster, I assume.

The 50/2, like many macro lenses, is not noted for its AF performance.

But, on the E-M1 that I had briefly it was surprisingly fast. Not as fast as other lenses but very usable and I was taking pics on my aquarium fish which is very hard with pretty much any macro lens due to the glass, water and moving fish. The E-M1 focuses 4/3 lenses better than even my E5. Go figure!
