Glad you were wearing the gears. It might have helped you to avoid serious injury.

P.S. it looks like that hummer was slammed into that flower at about 65 mph.

Mr Colwell,
I dont dislike the blur, I like it at times. But as mentioned, it appears that bird slammed into the flower at 60mph
If not feeding, I like the blur, if feeding, I like the wings "frozen". Which took some learning to do 2 years ago.

And holy $h1t RH! How far up were you? If you were that high, where was your safety line?

RH,
I think we're all wondering what you were doing when you landed on your chest and the backpack saved your life. (I'm assuming no alcoholic enhancements were involved The only time I went down hard was trying to traverse a scree slope and slid on my side for ~100 feet. Managed to keep all my gear up but the left side of my body had the worst case of "honda rash" I've ever had. Then I had to crawl back up. I think I'm a bit more thoughtful about my approaches now. Glad you came out in one piece and hope everything can be fixed.

Robert

oh, i had a local dealership repair the forks on my Aprilia Atlantic 500. according to another repair shop the forks are bottoming out. so here we go. i was cut off on the exit lane. i leaned right to pass the person tapped the brakes and wack. the bike dipped left violently ripped the bars out of my hands. the bike went one way and i was air born at 65 mph. not a good feeling having paid to have one fix the bike only to discover at high speed he did not fix the the problem. also not a good feeling to go down like that and it was not your fault. no alcohol involved.

Just glad you're okay, RH, a flip on a bike can be nasty when on the street, the gear can be replaced your body/mind not as easily

Ah ok. Thought maybe you were climbing.

Geez...Ive had a couple 2 wheeled incidents, but nothing anywhere near that speed. Never ceases to amaze me the lack of reapect given to drivers on 2 wheels.

You're a lucky man RH. Glad you're ok.
