This photo was taken one hour before the almost (+3 days) full moon rise. The foreground is the Harmony Borax Works which is located in Death Valley at Furnace Creek Springs. I tried as little as possible with light painting the foreground.

For me it kinda begs for some light painting. Nice sky though.

Yes, I did some light painting but I didn't want it to be too much of light painting.
Thanks for your feedback.

The red color balanced light painting and distortion make the foreground difficult.

The sky is FANTASTIC. I think this is your best night sky shot I've seen (as far as IQ). Color is great, low noise, pin point sharp - excellent.

Have I missed your other Death Valley shots?!?!?!?

Thanks for your feedback, David.
Death Valley is a great place for night photography due to very low light pollution, as you know. However because of the near full moon rise, I had to time it before it rose. As time closed to the moonrise, the stars were fading.
As to Death Valley shots.. I have too many of them, and I still have long way to go for the processing. Will post some.
I also do have some great shots from Valley of Fire from this travel.
