As is often the case with the last few Nikons I've gotten my hands on, a can of dynamic range worms gets opened every time I get an image like this into Lightroom.

So, I'd love some feedback. Which shot do you like the most?

Nikon D750, Nikon 24-120mm f/4 VR, 1/10 sec @ f/11 & ISO 100, 58mm, single exposure.

Agree that the first one is the best. Some very cool places there in Holbrook. Beautiful light you got. Nice vibe.

Medium version for me. The dark areas are too light in the first one, and though I like the depth of the dark in the last one I miss some of the detail in the shadows.

Thanks for the input, guys! I think I might process a more subtle, less candied version that is somewhere between the brighter one and the medium one...

First one. The clouds suggest that the light you've presented isn't at all unbelievable, and it doesn't look at all overblown to me.

The first one for me, I like to see the details in the cars. Nice image!

The first one doesn't look "right" to me. Maybe something closer to the second. If there, we would be looking into the bright sunset and the facing sides of the vehicles would be in the shadow side.

Normally I don't like candy HDR at all, but this one, it's very cool, it really works and it doesn't even have that nasty feel to it, it just has a cool vibe coming off of it, well done.

I'd go for maybe something just a trace darker than the first one as ideal.

The second one is cool too. The third too dark.

I'd say first or second, maybe inbetween but closer to the first. If I had to pick one, I think I'd actually say first since it's a candy HDR that actually just super works.

Thank you so much for this input, it really helps! I re-processed a new version to be about that brightness, but less "candied", and I think I really like it a lot.

Thanks to everyone for the input!

#1 for me! More light to accent the sub images(truck, car...) I would like to see power lines removed and possibly the pole. I love HDR when it is not "over the top" and yours is not. The old Stude truck welcomes hdr IMHO....
But overall, #1 looks the best to me.
Good job Matthew!
