I was about to order Radio Popper Jr2 to replace my old Jr and noticed that Radio Popper PX is cheaper. Something is not right. Does it make sense to buy Jr2 over PX if PX price is cheaper.

I think I know why. PX is on sales and Jr2 has some nice upgrades. Just finished watching video on Jr2.

Also I don't know what you are firing with the jr, I know the px has no ports. It can do ETTL and HSS sync.

I'm firing it mostly with Alien Bees and Nikon sb910. I knew you can do more with PX that's why I was surprised with the price.

The PX is mature technology, soon ( I hope ) to be less relevant when Nikon brings out RF-based CLS. So it can be heavily discounted, as all the R&D will have been paid off long ago.

I had really bad experience with Radiopopper Jr2.

Cheaply build, broke one foot of at my first wedding with it. Unreliable, had many misfires even in a regular large venue. A 10 bucks Chinese trigger was much more reliable.

Tried to talk with the support about it, but they just shrugged their shoulders. Way overpriced for what you get.

I had two triggers and 3 receivers, all the same.

Make yourself a favor and get Yongnuo triggers (0:
