I'm looking for some inspiration for some portrait work. I'm wondering what everyone's favourite sites are for this kind of stuff. I've found some good stuff on ModelMayhem but that seems to be very focused on nudes and thesite also doesn't have any good methods for browsing large galleries.

Depends on the style you're looking for. Newer processing techniques.

500px popular page and select portrait category - at least they are sorted with highest rated first which hopes to put the best first. Likewise for photo.net. It does mean skipping though VSCO-with-no-blacks style images though.

ModelMayhem is mostly woeful for any genre but just my opinion!

I have been enjoying looking at agency sites like Bernstein & andriulli and management + artists, among others.

Also, I have been checking out artists sites linked from places like Eddie Adams Workshop. I am finding some really amazing stuff through those routes.
