Since Ive upgraded my body to a 60D (having outgrown it), have a 580ex and 380ex, I figured it was time to learn more. I understand the basics...shutter=flash, aperture=ambient, ISO=both....

Owner of local indie store is offering me this for about $75, which I know is good. He also offered me some help in showing me how to set it up and using it.
But will this be a decent/good "beginner" setup? Im not prepared to go full manual yet.

Umm, no, you have it backwards - shutter controls ambient, aperture controls flash

DOH! Thats what I get for posting after a couple martinis. See, told ya I wasnt ready for full manual.
